What we collect.

(a) Premises facts you enter or that our AI extracts and you confirm (room placements, directions, plot details); (b) the generated report; (c) your email address, when you buy something, sign in to a House-Hunter Pass with an emailed code (including the free beta Pass), or use the Consultant dashboard; (d) basic technical logs (IP address, request IDs) for security and abuse prevention; (e) anonymous usage events (e.g. “analysis completed”).

Cookies.

We use only the cookies needed to run the service: vv_pass keeps you signed in to your House-Hunter Pass (up to 30 days); vv_consultant does the same for the Consultant dashboard (up to 30 days); vv_operator signs in our own staff tools (1 hour); and vv_ai_device limits free AI reading per device to prevent abuse (1 day). Before AI reading we may ask Cloudflare Turnstile to check that you are human; it runs in your browser under Cloudflare’s own privacy terms. We do not use advertising cookies.

What we do NOT store.

Uploaded floor-plan images, photos, and videos are processed transiently — held only in memory or short-lived temporary files that are deleted automatically when your request completes — and are not retained by us. When AI reading is switched on, the images, video frames, and any text you provide are sent to Anthropic, our AI provider, and processed under its terms.

Why we process it (purpose).

To generate your report, deliver purchases by email, sign you in, prevent abuse, and improve the service. We do not sell personal data. We do not use your data to train AI models.

Processors we use.

Payment: Razorpay (we never see card/UPI credentials). In-app purchases in our iOS and Android apps are processed by Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play) under their own terms; we receive a purchase record, never your payment details. Email: Resend. AI input reading, when switched on: Anthropic (receives uploaded images, video frames, and text to extract facts; not retained by us, processed by Anthropic under its terms). Bot protection: Cloudflare Turnstile. Hosting: Railway, Vercel, Cloudflare.

Retention.

Free reports: deleted after 90 days. Paid reports and the purchase email: retained so your report link keeps working, until you ask us to delete them. Anonymous usage events: 180 days. Emailed sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes. Security logs: up to 12 months.

Your rights (DPDP Act, 2023).

You can delete your House-Hunter Pass account yourself on the Pass page (we email a confirmation code first). This logs you out, removes your shortlist and erases your email from your account and purchase records; payment amounts and references are kept only as accounting and tax law require.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, or withdraw consent, by emailing privacy@vastuverdict.com from the relevant email address with your report link. We respond within 90 days (usually much faster). You may raise unresolved grievances with the Data Protection Board of India.

Breach notification.

If a breach affects your personal data we will inform you without delay and report to the Data Protection Board as required by law.

Children.

The service is not directed at children under 18.
